This was painted in several sessions as part of a grand expose about Chico. Having grown up in near by Paradise, this is where our family came to swim and picnic. I learned to swim here and felt that One Mile, was the biggest statement about Chico. The public voted for best of show and I got 2nd. Beat our by a girl who painted wild flowers on top of Table Mt. 25 miles away. I think it was the old man they didn’t like. Bidwell Park is an amazing place, worth the visit.
