I painted this to reflect my ideas about the coming extinction of the wild African Elephant. Note the crumbling arches of the building above. The arches represents the traditional Culture that is eroding away and as it does,so too is the respect and preservation of the wild Elephants. the young African laments the coming loss of the free wild Elephants. The tones in his flute serenade are sad and remorseful.
